Should students be able to 'post their own' videos?

Broadcast and Video Production students have created their own website featuring descriptions of classes and links to Quicktime videos. Follow this link and enjoy your time visiting Jerome's BVP (Broadcast Video Production program).

As well as the students have done, I have a 'dream website' idea. What if my students could create and maintain a website on their own, based upon the site operated by Current Tv, a group out of San Francisco. Here, (the URL follows), anyone can post their own video 'pod,' a short complete video, available for viewing by any visitor to the site. The idea is for visitors to respond wih positive or negative feedback and those that get the most thumbs-up will be aired on regular TV through Time-Warner and other cable companies.

Here's the Current-TV link: (You'll have to click "back" in your browser to get back to THIS page.)

They also have a GREAT online training section.

Let me know what you think. How much trouble would I be in-for if I advocated a 'post your own' video website?
